Step 1. Go to your Browser and write the IP Address on your router. You can find the IP address by checking that on the back of your PTCL router. For my Case, it is 192.168.10.1

Step2. Further, the login Screen will display in front of you. You need User Name and Password. Since you don’t know about the username and password. Therefore, you can find that in the back of the router as well.

  • Click on Device Info.
  • On submenu click on DHCP. Here you will find all the Hostname, Mac Address, and IP Address.
  • Therefore, you can check all the devices which are connected to your router.

  • Further, you will find Bandwidth Control. Click on it.
  • Here you will find some information. For example.
    • Description, Where you can write anything. But remember, don’t give space in between two words.
    • IP Address Range. Here you can assign the IP address to the group which you want to limit Wifi Speed.
    • Max Upstream Speed (Kbps). Here you should enter the number. That how much specific range of user should upload date on the internet.
    • Max Downstream Speed (kbps). Here you are going to enter the number. That how much downloading should specific range of user allow?

Note That Kbps stands for Kilobit per second.

As you are going to decrease the wifi speed for other. Therefore, you have to make two rules. One, for your IP, makes write-in Max Upstream Speed and Max Downstream Speed high number. However, you are going to make the second role. Where you are going to enter Upstream and Downstream as much as you want for all other users.

Note: When you are going to write in the IP range only one IP.  Write the end number same the first one. For example 192.168.10.20 – 20. In the second box, you have to write 20 too. Therefore, It only counts a single range of IP address which is 192.168.10.20.

Finally, everything is done. You have to press Save and Restart the router. So, that’s it. You have successfully limit Wifi Speed for all users.

Step 1. On your browser, In address bar write 192.168.2.1.

Step 2. Moreover, the login page will open. Here you have to write Username and Password. However, if you never change the password. Then there are high chances that Username is admin and the Password is admin or 1234. Further, Entering the username and password. Press Login.

Step 4. Here you will find the List of the active client with IP and Mac Addresses. Further, check out which IP Address. You are going to limit wifi speed.

Step 6. In addition, You will go to  Advanced and Select QoS Setup. Further, you are going to add the values. Therefore, Click on Add. Similarly, you will find many options here. For example.

  • The Dest IP
  • Dest Port
  • Source Port
  • Up Celling
  • Up Floor
  • Down Ceiling

Step 7. As you have already noted the IP address which you are going to block. therefore, Enter that in Source IP. Now put all values 200 On Up Floor, Down Floor, Up Celling and Down Celling.

Step 8. In effect, let all other values Blank. Finally, click on Add.

Step 9. With this in mind, now you have to restart the router. You have successfully limited wifi speed.

Note: If you want to limit everyone in Digisol Router. For this reason, you have to apply the range of IP addresses. For example, If you are want to limit 10 devices at the same time. You should write in Source IP 192.168.2.2 and in Dest IP you must write 192.168.2.11. It means you have applied a limit on all device from 2 to 11. Further, you can assign your IP address on number or bandwidth. while writing on all selection.

Step 6. Further, you will get many fields. Likewise,

  • IP Address. You have to enter the IP addresses on which you are going to assign limitation.
  • Upload/Download. Here you can select from drop-down menu either you are going to select Upload or download option.
  • Bandwidth Range. Here you are going to assign, how much speed you are going to give.

Step 7. Finally, click on Add to List and click on OK.

Step 6. Finally, click on Add Rules and restart the router.

  • Port Range. Let the field blank.
  • Product. Select All.

  • Ingress Bandwidth. Same value will be applied as Egress Bandwidth.
